Pleasant Grove, UT (May 22, 2025) – CCBank and its subsidiary Security Home Mortgage announced today a significant contribution of $200,000 to the Utah Children’s First Education Fund (CFEF), underscoring both companies’ unwavering commitment to helping local students with disabilities access quality educational opportunities. As a longstanding community bank and mortgage lender, CCBank and Security Home Mortgage view support for childhood development as integral to creating a brighter future for the state of Utah.
Championed in 2019 by the Utah State Legislature’s passing of the Carson Smith Opportunity Scholarship, the CFEF has been instrumental in ensuring that every child with special needs gets the education they deserve. Over 86,000 Utah special needs students are eligible to participate in the program. The fund is recognized for its collaborative efforts that bring together families, educators, and community members to champion children’s success.
“At CCBank, we believe education is a cornerstone of a thriving community,” said Matt Field, President of CCBank. “We want to help ensure that every young person—regardless of background—has a chance to excel. By partnering with the Children’s First Education Fund, we can better reach those who need resources and support the most.”
CCBank, Security Home Mortgage, and the CFEF share a vision of ensuring access to academic communities where every child with disabilities has the chance to thrive academically. This contribution and partnership—a follow-up to last year’s sizeable contribution—highlights the importance of comprehensive community engagement and uniting around a shared purpose.
“This generous donation provides the means for us to continue and expand our mission at a faster pace,” said Ronnie Daniel, Executive Director of the CFEF. “Each child has immense potential, and it’s our job to make sure they have the support they need to thrive. Thanks to CCBank and Security Home Mortgage’s
ongoing support, we can serve more children and strengthen our scholarship program to support educational opportunities for children with disabilities throughout Utah.”
